If you’ve ever caught yourself shaking your head at the grooming routines of the guys in your life—whether it’s your partner, dad, brother, or uncle—you’re definitely not alone. Sydney Sweeney totally gets it. With her down-to-earth approach, the Euphoria star is all about helping the men around us embrace better self-care habits. Her expert tips encourage a fresh look at grooming, transforming it from a chore into a fun and engaging part of their day.
One way to kick things up a notch is by introducing body washes that ditch those boring, random bar soaps—you know, the ones they probably grabbed from some hotel bathroom years ago. “They have no idea where it’s from or what’s in it,” Sydney jokes, and she’s spot on for plenty of people out there.
By opting for body washes with natural ingredients, like those from Dr. Squatch, you can help them step up their game. It's all about finding options that perform well and come with some seriously great scents.
So, if you're ready to help them elevate their grooming routines into something they’ll actually enjoy, Sydney’s shares the tips to make that happen in an exclusive E! interview.
E!: What practical tips do you have for someone wanting to elevate the grooming routines of the men in their life, whether it’s a partner, brother, or dad?
SS: It's all about presentation. If it's a simple, nice, easy presentation, I think that they're more receptive.
What I do in my bathrooms is I literally line up the shampoo, conditioner, body wash all in a row in order. They can't mess it up, very accessible for them.
E!: The Dr. Squatch Body Washes highlight the transformative power of scent. Is there a co-star you've worked with who stands out for their remarkable signature fragrance?
SS: I think I’ve been pretty lucky. I've had some good-smelling co-stars. I can't really think of a moment where there where I was like “Here’s some Febreze.”
Someone had a really good perfume on White Lotus. It was either Jennifer Coolidge or Connie Britton. One of them had the most beautiful-smelling perfume. It was tropical and beautiful and I was like “I hope I’m you when I grow up.”
E!: What's your favorite Dr. Squatch Body Wash scent at the moment?
SS: The Pine Tar. I love it because it reminds me of being back home and I've been handing it out to a lot of my friends. I was like, “This has this little slice of home.”

E!: Tell me about your campaign with Dr. Squatch
SS: I loved that it was more cheeky and light-hearted. I’m the guys’ body wash genie. I thought that it was such a fun concept. Imagine you have your bottle of Dr. Squatch in the shower, and then I pop out.
Also, I'm a big fan of the products. When I told my family, my uncles, my cousins, they all freaked out. And so I was really happy to hear that they knew about the company and the products. They were fans of it all.
I love that it's natural and it's good for guys’ skin. So I was like, "This is cool. Let's do it."
E!: In the campaign, you portray a genie who grants grooming wishes. Is there anything you do to help the men in your life with their self-care routines?
SS: I have now put different scents in different bathrooms for my dad, my brother, and my guy friends. Slowly they're all disappearing.
It's constant with the texts. “Hey Syd, do you think you could grab me some…” And I’m like “Sure, sure.”
E!: A captivating scent can have a significant impact on how a person feels and presents themselves, often bringing back fond memories associated with it
SS: 100%. There are different scents that bring you back to different places and ages in your life too. There was one I smelled and I was like, “Oh my God, this smells like my high school boyfriend.”
E!: With the holidays approaching, what's your go-to grooming gift idea for the men in your life?
SS: A cool aspect of Dr. Squatch products is the packaging. They do great collabs. That just makes it fun and a gift you'll want to open and start using right away.
"They're great gifts. I got the Dr. Squatch and Star Wars collab with different bar soaps. I was like 'I'm definitely keeping these for myself' and my family members were like 'This is sick.'"
E!: If you had your own genie, are there any grooming wishes that you would ask for?
SS: Oh, it's definitely my skincare routine. If I could just snap my fingers and be in bed with my skincare routine done it would be so nice.
